What You Need to Know About San Antonio’s Preview Con

There’s less than one week left until San Antonio comic con fans get to experience Celebrity Fan Fest on a whole new level. Celebrity Fan Fest returned for its second show this past June with 3-days filled with exciting celebrity appearances and panels, special attractions and more. Now this October, Celebrity Fan Fest has rolled out a new concept – Preview Con.

What is Celebrity Fan Fest Preview Con?

Preview Con is an all-inclusive fan festival taking place October 26-27, 2019 at Freeman Expo Hall 1 in San Antonio, Texas. Confirmed celebrities include:

  • Zachary Levi
  • Brendan Fraser
  • Lindsay Wagner
  • Brandon Routh
  • Eva Marie
  • Helen Slater
  • Kimberly J. Brown
  • Sam J. Jones
  • Chuck Huber
  • Kevin Sorbo

There will be several vendors set up throughout the Freeman Expo Hall 1 selling unique artwork, collectibles, t-shirts, toys and more. In addition, a couple of notable Hollywood cars will be on display for all attendees including:

  • Black Beauty – “Green Hornet”
  • 1966 Batmobile
  • Lightning McQueen – “Cars”
  • DeLorean – “Back to the Future”
  • 1989 Batmobile
  • ECTO-1 – “Ghostbusters”

This pop culture fan festival will lead up to the main comic con four-day event in June 2020.

What’s Different About Celebrity Fan Fest Preview Con?

Most comic cons have “a la carte” pricing for photo ops and autographs. You buy an admission ticket and then wait to see what celebrities are announced before deciding what photo op or autograph to purchase. At Celebrity Fan Fest Preview Con, your admission ticket is all you need to get free table selfies and autographs with most celebrities. VIP celebrities will require the purchase of select 2020 June packages to receive free professional photos and autographs. These celebrities include Zachary Levi and Brendan Fraser.

Another differentiator includes food selection and price. If you were at our last comic con, you know that we had great deals for the family including pizza, frito pie and popcorn tins (with free refills). This time, we are adding Chick-fil-A to the food court selection.

How Much Are Admission Tickets?

If you purchase a June 2020 Platinum, Gold or 4-Day pass, you will get free admission into Preview Con with free VIP professional photo op(s) and VIP autograph(s). This also includes VIP line access and reserved seating in panels depending on the pass you purchase. Package details can be found at celebrityfanfest.com.

However, there are also single-day admission tickets for those wanting to only attend October’s comic con. Saturday adult tickets are $40 and Sunday adult tickets are $30. First responders, as well as active and non-active military members, can get free admission to the event by showing a valid form of identification. In addition, children dressed up in a costume get free admission on Sunday. All admission tickets receive one free selfie and one free autograph per celebrity (excluding VIP celebrities Levi and Fraser) and access to daily Q&A panels.
