CFF Preview Con Recap: San Antonio’s Premier Comic Con

This past October, Celebrity Fan Fest rolled out a new concept – Preview Con. Fans who purchased their June 2020 Celebrity Fan Fest tickets received FREE admission plus FREE autographs and FREE photos with celebrities at this all-inclusive con. Celebrity Fan Fest Preview Con featured celebrities from recent and past Hollywood movies and TV shows, Hollywood cars, unique vendors and artwork.

A Taste of Celebrity Fan Fest

Moderated by Clare Kramer, celebrity guests like Brendan Fraser and Zachary Levi held panels both days to discuss previous and upcoming work. In addition, fans were able to ask questions about character roles and more. Shazam’s Zachary Levi stole the show with his unique open dialogue approach, wowing the crowd with his radiating positivity and humor.

San Antonio comic con fans gathered from far and wide to get up close and personal with stars. From autographs to photo ops, Celebrity Fan Fest Preview Con attendees had the opportunity to meet some of their favorite celebrities – some who would even call them their idols. With heartfelt moments like Chuck Hüber signing ASL with a deaf teenager to Supergirl’s Helen Slater meeting her number one fan, it was easy to see how on-screen heroes turn into our personal heroes.

Among the crowd of attendees, many fans showed up dressed in character costumes during this two-day event, showcasing all the time and hard work that goes into cosplay. Check out a couple of cosplayers that stood out at Celebrity Fan Fest Preview Con below!

In addition, there were plenty of perks for those attending Celebrity Fan Fest Preview Con. Children even had the opportunity to dress up in Halloween costumes and receive free admission on Sunday, which included Marvel superheroes like Spiderman. The first 1,000 attendees each day received free Celebrity Fan Fest Preview Con tote bags as an added bonus.

Whether you attended the show to meet big Hollywood stars or shop with comic con vendors, Celebrity Fan Fest Preview Con had something for both adults and children alike. Several vendors set up throughout the Freeman Expo Hall’s Vendor Village and showcased their unique artwork, collectibles, t-shirts, toys and more. Heroes Hall and Kids’ Corner provided attendees with some great photo opportunities and a place for children to play while hanging out with Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck presented by Six Flags Fiesta Texas and H-E-B.

Furthermore, a couple of famed Hollywood cars were on display for all attendees to enjoy including the 1989 Batmobile and ECTO-1 from “Ghostbusters.” Sponsored by H-E-B, this car exhibit offered free photos next to the cars for all guests.

Finally, this pop culture fan festival was a successful “preview” to the main comic con four-day event in June 2020. Whether it was your first time or third, Celebrity Fan Fest Preview Con had something for everyone!
