San Antonio’s premier comic con, is excited to welcome

Fred Savage

Starting out in commercials in Chicago, Savage’s acting career has included feature films such as “The Wizard,” “The Princess Bride” and “Austin Powers: Goldmember,” as well as several television series, most notably a six-year run as ‘Kevin Arnold’ on “The Wonder Years,” a role that earned him several accolades and awards, including two Emmy nominations for “Best Actor in a Comedy Series.”

Behind the camera, Fred has produced and directed over 150 episodes of both comedic and dramatic episodic television where his work has earned him four Director’s Guild Award nominations. He has served as producer/director on “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” as well as the AFI honored “Party Down,” NBC’s “Best Friends Forever,” and “Garfunkel & Oates” for IFC. His episodic work includes “Modern Family,” “The Goldbergs,” and the Golden Globe nominated “Casual.”

Additionally, Fred has helmed successful commercial campaigns for clients such as Verizon, Farmers Insurance, MasterCard, and Aflac. He can also be heard as the voice of Honda on their television and radio campaigns. Recently, Fred returned to the other side of the camera acting opposite Rob Lowe in the new Fox television series “The Grinder,” for which he was nominated for a Critic’s Choice Award for Best Actor in a Comedy Series.

Currently, Fred stars in the television show, “Friends From College,” whose second season recently premiered on Netflix, and is also under a production deal with 20th Century Fox Television where he will continue to direct, produce, and write new television programs.

Fred lives in Los Angeles where he as been reunited with his wife and three children after a brief abduction by Deadpool.

Cosplay Information

Celebrity Fan Fest Welcomes Cosplayers!

All costumes must conform to the following:

  • All attendees and those wearing a costume must agree to be checked by security and have their costume inspected.
  • All costumes must comply with local laws.
  • Celebrity Fan Fest is a family friendly event. Cosplay items that are deemed as vulgar including nudity and body paint/sheer material in lieu of clothing is not permitted.
  • No bare feet.
  • No sharp protrusions or spikes.
  • Please keep your costume from extending more than six inches (6”) from your body in any direction. There can be exceptions if the item is collapsible or retractable (i.e. a tail).
  • No firearms, knives or real swords are permitted.
  • Realistic looking replica firearms are not allowed, including those marked with an orange tip.
  • Any firearm props must look harmless to the average viewer (essentially, they should not look realistic or threatening).
  • No projectiles should be used on hotel property.
  • No laser pointers or high-intensity lights that can hurt the eyes.
