Action Star Dolph Lundgren to Pack a Punch at Celebrity Fan Fest

“Rocky IV,” “Creed II,” and “Aquaman” actor to appear at San Antonio interactive festival

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS (February 14, 2019) – Famed actor and action star Dolph Lundgren has officially joined Celebrity Fan Fest’s star-studded lineup. The interactive fan festival will take place June 14-16, 2019 at Freeman Coliseum and Freeman Expo Halls in San Antonio, Texas.

Widely renowned for his role as Russian boxing villain ‘Ivan Drago’ in the 1985 film “Rocky IV,” Lundgren reprised the role in the 2018 film, “Creed II.” Most recently, Lundgren played DC comic character, ‘King Nereus” in James Wan’s blockbuster film “Aquaman.” During Celebrity Fan Fest, Lundgren will team up with “Aquaman” co-stars Jason Momoa and Amber Heard in special photo-ops, panel discussions as well as a special VIP meet and greet.

“In 2018, Dolph had great success appearing in two major holiday blockbuster films, ‘Creed II’ and ‘Aquaman,’” said PMX Events President Bob Wills. “After decades in the industry, we are excited to welcome this talented actor to Celebrity Fan Fest and give fans the opportunity to finally meet the man who has played some of the most iconic film roles in history.”

Lundgren’s other notable film credits include, “The Punisher,” “Showdown in Little Tokyo,” “Universal Soldier,” and “The Expendables” film series starring alongside with Sylvester Stallone.

In addition to major Hollywood and television stars, Celebrity Fan Fest will also feature:

  • An exclusive “Aquaman” VIP Seafood Fan Experience
  • “CARS as STARS” exhibition featuring famous Hollywood cars like Ecto-1 from “Ghostbusters,” the “Back to the Future” DeLorean, a Bumblebee® replica car, Optimus Prime® replica truck and Barricade® of “Transformers,” plus many more.
  • Numerous comic exhibitors and creators
  • Gaming and virtual reality exhibitions
  • Celebrity panels
  • Hundreds of vendors and artists

San Antonio’s premier comic convention, Celebrity Fan Fest, is an interactive festival featuring special appearances by prominent film and television celebrities. The “fan festival” offers an elevated immersive form of entertainment including celebrity meet and greet opportunities, “Vendor Village”, “Artist Alley”, special performances by the stars, plus much more. The event will lead up to the 2019 Celebrity Movie Con also produced by PMX Events.

Cosplay Information

Celebrity Fan Fest Welcomes Cosplayers!

All costumes must conform to the following:

  • All attendees and those wearing a costume must agree to be checked by security and have their costume inspected.
  • All costumes must comply with local laws.
  • Celebrity Fan Fest is a family friendly event. Cosplay items that are deemed as vulgar including nudity and body paint/sheer material in lieu of clothing is not permitted.
  • No bare feet.
  • No sharp protrusions or spikes.
  • Please keep your costume from extending more than six inches (6”) from your body in any direction. There can be exceptions if the item is collapsible or retractable (i.e. a tail).
  • No firearms, knives or real swords are permitted.
  • Realistic looking replica firearms are not allowed, including those marked with an orange tip.
  • Any firearm props must look harmless to the average viewer (essentially, they should not look realistic or threatening).
  • No projectiles should be used on hotel property.
  • No laser pointers or high-intensity lights that can hurt the eyes.
